Domaine des Tourelles was founded in 1869 by Francios-Eugene Brun, a French engineer who came to Lebanon to build railways but fell in love with the captivating Bekaa Valley and stayed to establish the now famous Domaine des Tourelles label. His knowledge of French winemaking was infused into traditional Lebanese wine and arak-making that has for more than 150 years, produced the artisanal quality of blend that Domaine des Tourelles is known for today. All Domaine des Tourelle products preserve the authentic taste and essence of Lebanon’s unique “terroir” and are 100% organic.
Today, under the guidance of Faouzi Issa, a co-owner, Domaine des Tourelles continues to produce wines and arak of different varieties. All wines are fermented in concrete vessels and produced from a mixture of Cabernet Sauvignon, Muscat, Semillon, Syrah, Tempranillo and Obaideh, the latter being very popular in Lebanon.
